therapy for humans

We receive messages everyday telling us what we are “supposed” to be. How to feel, present, respond, cope, and live. We are expected to be shapeshifters, adapting to what each environment needs us to be.

Inevitably, this challenges feelings of connection with ourselves, others, and our communities. Isolating and needing connection in the same breath.

We’re humans. Hardwired for connection, intricately unique, and incredibly complex.

  • I want to know...

  • What is your experience of being alive?

  • Do you have a space where every version of you can show up safely?

  • What do you need to feel more connected?

my space

Creative

Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all practice. We each have our own experiences and identities that require unique and creative opportunities to heal and grow.

Nurturing

I’m a nurturer at heart, though I am lovingly direct and honest.

Accepting

Diversity is what makes each of us interesting. I’m here to welcome all parts of you.

Gray

I prefer to work and live in the in-between space where life is messy, complicated an beautiful.

Humorous

Sometimes we choose to laugh instead of cry.

Strengths-based

You might now always see them but you will always have them.

my method

  • Safety

Creating a space in which you feel physically, mentally, emotionally and relationally safe.

  • Connect

Research tells us that the therapeutic relationship is the best predictor of positive outcomes. I want you to know that I am real and human too.

  • Learn

I’m interested in learning more about you- even the parts you might hide away.

  • Normalize

You’re likely more in tune with your experience of life than you give yourself credit for.

  • Dig In

Where the fun happens! This is where we engage with a variety of practices, approaches, and elements to support your goals.

  • Adapt

The mind and body is an interdependent system. Probing in one area will likely ignite thoughts, feelings and sensations in other areas. We’ll move with it.

While I work with a variety of individuals who identify as having a mood disorder, such as anxiety or depression, my focus is on finding the root of your symptoms and supporting you in feeling empowered to cope with life’s stressors in a way that feels accessible to you.

My space is open to people of all identities and backgrounds.

therapy

Individual

Individual therapy focuses on you! We work together to co-create a space in which you feel safe to be with your authentic self. In an effort to build safety and trust, I show up authentically and transparently with you. We look at your humanity through a big picture lens identifying the systems in which you engage. We utilize our time together to deepen your connection with yourself and the world around you.

Relational

Relational therapy focuses on you within relation to others! We explore how you relate to and connect with others while identifying opportunities for you to show up safely and authentically. Time is often spent individually and with the individual you are in relationship with.

Note: relationships take many forms! They might be a friend, partner, coworker, family member, neighbor, or nemesis.
